Due to some concerns reported by electoral subjects regarding the delay in distribution of the amount of fund that the State budget allocates to parties running in May 14, 2023 local government elections, the State Election Commissioner would like to clarify that:

The election fund benefited by political parties running in elections was approved by the Assembly of Albania, on April 13, 2023. The above law entered into effect on April 13,2023 and was sent to the State Election Commission on 20.04.2023.

The State Election Commissioner, on April 22, 2023 approved the Decision no.397 “On determining the amount of the fund from the State Budget that will be distributed as advance payment to political parties running in May 14,2023 elections”.

The allocation of funds to the parties, based on the above Decision, will be done directly by the state budget.
